house of the future

This is a thing I made faffing around one day. I'm really shitty at electronics. The sound quality here is not amazing, and I made it in Audacity], but I like it a lot. I used some bits that I took from the first big recorded improvisation game session that I did with HFR [in the very first semester of its existence]. I love the sound of that F# major chord on the prepared piano, and tessellating it, like it was some kind of stencil sketch pattern for spray-painting graffiti.

I've also always had this bittersweet anger / jealousy over the fact that in the past, people seemed to be so enthusiastic and hopeful for what utopian new future awaited us, a gift of our brilliant technology and economy. Well, my generation doesn't get to feel that way. So listening back to all of this techno-utopian media from the past only feels ironically supercharged with meaning for me...blah blah blah.
